Private Residence
Warren, OH
In October 2009, I was contacted by a concerned couple, Melissa and Rich, regarding a house they recently moved into. The house is thought to be the second oldest house in Warren, OH. The couple reported that once they were unpacked and trying to settle in, very strange things began to happen. Concerning to me were the reports of a shadowy male figure entering the bathroom and staring at them while they were trying to go about their business.
Here is an excerpt from the most recent email from Rich:
December 16, 2009
"Hi brandi, that guy just showed himself to melissa in full aparition in our bedroom doorway. She said he was about 5'9 slender build, short hair, grey fedora style hat w/ a white band around it and a black jacket and he was clean shaven. She also said that his eyes were jet black as if he had no soul. She asked him to show himself again and a large red mark appeared on our bedroom floor where he was standing."
I visited this house at the end of December, and to date, this is by far the most perplexing & awkward case. Yes, I found the house to be haunted, but not just by ghosts, also a lot of bad residual energy. This house, I learned after visiting and explaining that I felt bad energy was locked up in the walls, was built from wood salvaged in a fatal church fire.
Before I continue, let me explain my thoughts on residual energy. Let's say someone beats someone in a room, and it could be a week ago, or a month, matters not. That energy emitted during the beating lingers in the room. So let's take it a step further, a man beats his wife and children ritually within a home, that bad energy hangs in the air for many years after.
A more positive example of residual energy, to be fair, would be a hospital's maternity ward. Ever notice how happy and energized it feels there? Ever notice that most other wings at a hospital don't feel as good? I believe the reason is maternity wards more often than not, are a place of joy. Healthy babies are kept in maternity wards and sick babies, sent to neonatal intensive care units. Maternity wards are places of job and happiness and hope.
Not everyone can detect or feel residual energy, but true psychics and mediums can.So you're a psychic or medium, and somene asks you to come investigate his home for bad paranormal activity. So you oblige, show up, and are instantly confused as to what is causing the bad energy flow. Is it the people? Or is it the spirits? Is it both? Are the current residents acting out things that happened in the past, meaning they're sort of caught up in the energy and subconsciously being guided by it? Or are they the perpetrators and have they drawn in dark spirits based on their own behaviors?
Let me say, it stinks to the high heavens to be confronted with such cases. You don't want to offend your clients, yet you also have to be objective in order to help them, which means leaving your emotions at home. It puts you in a position to ask tough and sometimes offensive questions. And the questions aren't asked because you feel the clients are to blame, but to rule them out. BUT it's human nature for many to take offense to tough questions, and that is understood by Acid Entertainment's Paranormal Playground.
So back to the case. I found this home to be incredibly dark and negative. I found this family's dog emaciated and sick, with what I call the 'shadow of death' lurking around her. I investigated both children's bedrooms, and found one happy and serene, and one, dark and with a nasty yellow aura in the air. The room was full of abuse and neglect vibes. BUT this doesn't mean the family is abusing their son. It really doesn't. It can mean nasty abuse took place in that room many years before, and the passed on victim or perpetrator is still abusing, in this case, the toddler living in the haunted bedroom.
I also couldn't shake a bad feeling about the family dog, Karmi, being tied outside as a means to house train. I was so overcome in this bad feeling, I wound up over warning one of the residents, maybe even to a point . |
