Located at the back of the cemetery and down near the river, sits this circle of stones. This is one of many rock arrangements discovered at Old Chestnut Grove Cemetery that seem 'ceremonial.'. This is the largest, and the only arrangment where we find evidence that the circle is being used for 'something.' I did run into some teenagers one afternoon who were standing inside the circle, so I asked them what they were doing. They mistakenly thought it was the witches' grave and said that after every visit to the circle you had to add a stone or the witch would come and get you! I of course let them know this was not the witches grave. The first day I noticed this circle, I stepped inside and immediately noticed that it felt like I was standing in an elevator. It feels also like you're being 'pulled down' when you stand inside. When you step out of the circle, that feeling doesn't exist. There was no doubt in my mind that this circle as marked off for a reason. Either someone noticed the energy fields here and marked them off, OR this circle is being used for magic and has residual energy residing within. Whatever the case, within this circle is a lot of energy.
