For example, one paranormal researcher visits a haunted house and decides the spirit is trapped there with unfinished business WHEN THAT SPIRIT NEVER SAID, "HI GHOST HUNTER, I AM THE GHOST THAT HAUNTS HERE AND I AM TRAPPED WITH UNFINISHED BUSINESS and no time previous was spent investigating the matter. And yet another paranormal researcher will claim the spirit is not trapped with unfinished business, but needs help "crossing over" and "passing through the light." Founder, Brandi Lynn Borgia says she can contact several paranormal researchers posing the same question, almost always to get distinctly varying answers.
"When I first began recording electronic voice phenomena, I wanted to learn as much as I could from other paranormal researchers. There was one EVP researcher who said all EVPs had to be slowed down (up to or beyond 1800%) to be heard, and that EVPs could be discoverd by inverting and playing the recording backwards. I had other EVP researchers offering opinions that were the polar opposite of those just stated. I had some EVP researchers telling me ALL EVPs were under 150 HZ and NO REAL EVP ever fell between the human speaking range of 350 HZ to 3500 HZ. I recorded real EVPS within the human speaking range; I have EVPS higher than 150 hz (and below), and I have SCORES of EVPs that did not have to be slowed down at all to be heard or understood. This is when I realized the dogma I ran from in Church as a child was revisiting me in the paranormal research community."
Some of what I've heard are excellent theories. however, they are theories. It is irresonsible of paranormal researchers to attach dogma to their findings, especially when they present them to the public, or are brought in to investigate a residence etc.
