Paranormal Evidence without Dogma!

By Brandi Lynn Borgia

PRELIMINARY INFORMATION:

On Janurary 23, 2009 I went to our local convenience store and was talking paranormal with a clerk named Amy, when she began to open up about paranormal activity taking place in her home. As she began to tell her story, I recall noticing how many 'classic tell tale haunting signs' she was reportng, seemingly unaware of this herself. Amy, her husband and children currently reside at the property.

However, the house was built in 1957 by Amy's aunt Gert and Uncle Joe. Gert and Joe saved money for a long time before building their dream home, and tragedy struck soon after they moved in. Joe died of cancer, and Gert never remarried, claiming "I've been with the best." She lived out her remaining years in their dream home until passing away in it back in 2005. Approximately a week before she passed, she began reporting seeing 'dead relatives' in her bedroom.

A short while after Aunt Gert passed away, Amy and co. decided it was time to do some remodeling to the home. As is widely known in the paranormal field, this can stir up paranormal activity, and in this case it did...

PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATION

On January 24, 2009 at midnight I visited this home along with paranormal investigator, Sean Adams. Just like the haunted house in Garfield Heights, the appearance of this house doesn't do justice to the stereotype of a haunted house. The first thing I noticed were the 'swirls of energy' present. The walls especially had the faint appearance of static electricity. I immediately began interviewing Amy, Robin, and her son, Alex who all had a paranormal experience or more to share. Most of the paranormal activity has been witnessed by Amy and Robin, all of which started when they began remodeling the house. Alex saw a shadowy figure of a male standing near a window. Robin heard her name called out in the dining room, and had her purse launched across that same room.

THE MURAL

Sadly, when Joe was diagnosed with cancer and began his brave battle with it, Gert was beside herself with grief. During his hospital stays she began painting a mural on the living room wall to pass the agonizing hours he was away. The mural was a peaceful japanese village scene, although the contrast of dark and light colors seemed to convey the dark reality she was facing in this place built of light and love.

THE MURAL WAS PAINTED OVER...and the paranormal activity began.

Of the rooms the family claimed paranormal activity, I found the Aunt Gert's bedroom the most active. Although the dining area set off our EMF detector when near the area Aunt Gert sat for dinner, it was in the bedroom more tangible paranormal activity occurred.
