Paranormal Evidence without Dogma!
Orbs Page 2

There are a conflicting theories often being explained as facts regarding orbs, even amongst paranormal researchers. Yes, even paranormal researchers are guilty of trying to apply ONE definition to "something" still undefined. Some paranormal researchers think a single orb is a single entity. Some paranormal investigators believe orbs are sentient energies expanding their consciousness. I theorize noth are true and then some.

Before I go on, I think it's important to define THEORY, HYPOTHESIS, and FACT!

What is the difference between a fact, a theory and a hypothesis? In popular usage, a theory is just a vague sort of fact and a hypothesis is often used as a fancy synonym to `guess'.To a scientist a theory is a conceptual framework that explains existing observations and predicts new ones.

A hypothesis is a working assumption. Typically, a scientist devises a hypothesis and then sees if it ``holds water'' by testing it against available data (obtained from previous experiments and observations). If the hypothesis does hold water, the scientist declares it to be a theory.
